Healthcare
Healthcare facilities, designed and delivered end to end.
Public-sector healthcare and institutional facilities are the primary sector of the practice. We design facilities for the clinicians who work in them and the patients who depend on them.
Our role
Architect and Consortium Lead.
On healthcare commissions LEMEG acts as the Architect. Where the project requires a multi-disciplinary team, LEMEG leads the consortium, so that the client has one accountable point for design coordination and implementation.
The role is defined and stated in writing at the outset of every engagement.
Scope
What the service covers.
Briefing and planning
Establishing the functional brief, the site, the constraints and the programme before design begins.
Design and documentation
Concept through to developed design and construction documentation, organised by the SACAP work stages.
Consortium leadership
Coordinating the engineering and specialist disciplines a healthcare facility depends on.
Architectural input during construction
Site inspections and responses to contractor queries on the architectural design.
Close-out and handover
Completion, defects management and the records a facility needs at handover.
Quality control
Technical review and drawing-issue control under LEMEG's documented Quality Management System.
